……wearing my old mukluk boots bought for skiing holidays in the ‘80’s, a trek along Park Lane with camera to capture the imprints made by cars and tractors in the snow. The trivial things in life are good aren’t they.
Hope you’ll be able to enlarge all of these.
What a great idea! Lots of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThese are really lovely - don't think we've got enough snow here - yet!
ReplyDeleteThis took me down memory lane to the 1980's when I was into quilt making. I remember a quilt exercise, which has always stayed in my mind, about tracks in the snow...even made a Christmas card again this year for my walking group which used footprints. Think it needs an update and your posting has definitely inspired me, particularly the last one, to revisit and consider doing a splash of colour! I will go out in the snow this weekend, despite all intentions to stay warm and reconsider my designs for next Christmas!!!. Thanks Sian.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had some sun,it's been grey all day with us.The trees look lovely and if it's still around tomorrow I might try some snow dyeing.
ReplyDeleteSiân, these are brilliant. You are making us all open our eyes - can't wait until the morning when I can go out and take some photos. Just hope the snow has not disappeared!
ReplyDeleteThink Exeter is the only place without snow so jealous! Great photos, looks like you had fun.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos love them, especially with the sun and shadows on the tracks.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures inspired me to go outside and photograph all the bird prints I'd seen yesterday on the snowy lawn. However it was snowing when I got up and it has continued to snow all day, covering them all up with about 5 inches of snow! Might try again tomorrow.
