The finale?

finalclose5

How many times do you need to photograph a three dimensional textile? I think you can never have too many images. [I’m getting good with the ‘smudge’ brush to get rid of unwanted marks such as some odd shapes that seem to appear in the reflective surfaces.]

Now for the fun time in labelling and packaging – an art in itself if you do not anticipate unpacking at the other end! I’ll keep you in touch with how I do this with lots of photos, so watch this space.

  1. These are beautiful Sian and so emotive as they capture the swirling motion of the starlings over the Somerset Levels at dusk - something close to my heart. I love the header and footer on your blog too, that is just how it looks when the starlings are in full swing!

  2. Have to come on a museum packing course! Love your final layout. Where is it going?

  3. Thanks Carrie and Anne. I think this theme could run and run or should I say, fly and fly!
It's is HOPEFULLY being shown at the Constance Howard Centre, attached to Goldsmith's Uni in New Cross, south London.
Your museum packing course sounds very interesting. I'll post my packing/labelling stages soon and would appreciate any tips Anne.
