A brief detour to Liverpool

LIGHT WORK
An inspirational online workshop with Eleanor White - www.bridgehouseart.co.uk
A brief outline of the stages - and a few examples of my work.

Collect photos and drawings of a building of interest. These photos were taken on a visit to the Liverpool Biennale last year.

Buildings around Liverpool docks - the left hand one is the temporary Tate Liverpool; loved the odd shapes and the reflections and notice the old Liver Building roof top with liver bird sculptures showing above Tate Liverpool: an unexpected discovery that places these in this historic city.

Further research studies to explore the qualities of shape and texture using different line and collage processes.

Cut shapes from sturdy paper. Use torch to create interesting shadows - discovered a ship shadow in one!

Develop shapes in photo images further and resolve using colour.
